When you’re just not satisfied with what God gave you, it seems that there is plastic surgery for whatever you want to have done, and there are plenty of musicians and artists who have unashamedly admitted that they have taken advantage of the opportunity. For most, things turned out quite splendidly, but there are a few who may have wished they had never gone under the knife, and we can’t blame them. What do ya’ll think?
Here are 22 musicians who got plastic surgery.
1. Dolly Parton
Dolly Parton is the Queen of Country music known for her big blonde hair and large chest just as much as she is for her music. The “Jolene” hitmaker admitted to having had a few procedures to make her look what it is to CBS Sunday Morning in 2019.
“It is true that I look artificial, but I believe that I’m totally real,” the Steel Magnolias actress said. “My look is really based on a country girl’s idea of glam. I wasn’t naturally pretty, so I make the most of anything I’ve got.” That has included some cosmetic procedures such as breast implants, a brow lift, and eyelid surgery.

2. Katy Perry
“Never Worn White” Katy Perry set the record straight about her assets, confirming that she has undergone plastic surgery but not where people thought.
“I’ve done lasers and got [filler] injections under my eyes for the hollowing, which I’d recommend for everyone who wants a solution for their dark circles, but all of my assets are real,” she told Refinery29. “People tend to think they are fake, but it doesn’t really matter.”

3. Britney Spears
Britney Spears may have only had a minor procedure to qualify her for the musicians who got plastic surgery list, but it was a change all the same. She told InStyle in 2013 that she has had lip injections.
“A doctor I see, [Beveryly Hills plastic surgeon] Dr. Kanodia, does fun stuff to me sometimes,” she said. I’ve had lip injections before.”

4. Cardi B
Rapper and songwriter Cardi B has a more controversial story compared to others on our list of musicians who got plastic surgery. While her breast augmentation was on the up and up, the injects in her butt were illegal.
“In order to get lipo, where they put the fat transfer in your [expletive] and it gets bigger, you need to have fat,” the “Bodak Yellow” singer admitted. “I did not have no type of fat, but I was desperate to have a bigger [expletive].”

5. Iggy Azalea
Iggy Azalea is the second rapper on our musicians who got plastic surgery list to admit to it. She received a breast augmentation in March of 2015.
“I love them so much I had to talk about them. … I’d feel better not to have some secret,” the “Good Times with Bad People” rapper told E!. “It’s much freer to say it, and then you don’t have to worry someone will dig it up.”

6. Jessica Simpson
Pop and country star turned businesswoman Jessica Simpson is the perfect example of one of the musicians who got plastic surgery and realized it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
In 2006, she admitted to Glamour magazine that she was unsatisfied with her previous lip injections. “I had that Restylane stuff. It looked fake to me. I didn’t like that. But it went away in, like, four months. My lips are back to what they were. Thank God!”
The “Sweetest Sin” singer has also gotten two tummy tucks following the birth of her two oldest children. “The surgery wasn’t for weight loss. I weighed 107 pounds when I planned the surgery. I wanted to get rid of the stretch marks and loose skin left sagging from my back-to-back pregnancies.”

7. Ashley Tisdale
She may be best known for her role in Disney’s High School Musical franchise, but let’s not forget that she is also an accomplished artist in the music industry. Unlike others on our musicians who got plastic surgery list, her 2007 plastic surgery was due to her deviated septum.
“I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose,” she told People. “I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me.”

8. Cher
While “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” singer Cher has never been shy to admit that she’s had plastic surgery; however, she is private about what exactly she’s had done. Instead, she’d rather note what she hasn’t done to squash rumors.
She told ABC in 2002, “If I’d had as much plastic surgery as they [say], you know, like I’ve got [butt] implants and calf implants and cheek implants. I’ve had the same cheeks my entire life. No butt lifts. No ribs removed. If I want to put my [expletive] on my back, it’s nobody’s business but my own.”

Kelly Rowland, best known for her time with the hit group Destiny’s Child, was thoughtful about her plastic surgery, making sure it was something she really wanted to do first.
“I wanted to get breast implants when I was 18, but my mom and Beyoncé’s mom told me to really think about it first,” she told Shape magazine. “I took their advice and waited 10 years.”

11. Amanda Lepore
Singer and model Amanda Lepore is sadly one of the entries on the musicians who got plastic surgery list who has been continuous in her efforts.
According to The New York Times, “Ms. Lepore has undergone cosmetic alterations to nearly every part of her body that can be altered. She has had her derriere injected with silicone, her nose made smaller, her forehead lifted, and her hairline lowered. Her cheeks are regularly pumped with fillers, and her breasts have been enhanced three times. To accentuate her hourglass figure, Ms. Lepore even had her bottom ribs broken and pushed in as a way of making her waistline appear smaller and her hips broader.”
12. Heidi Montag
It seems Heidi Montag needed the same advice that Kelly Rowland received before she got her plastic surgery. While the “Body Language” singer has said that she is not against plastic surgery, she has admitted that she had waited after undergoing 10 procedures in one day when she was 23. They include a brow lift, a chin reduction, and Botox injections.
While she said at the time, “I think I look way better, and I’m way happier. Nobody ages perfectly, so I plan to keep using surgery to make me as perfect as I can be,” she has since admitted, “I was way too young to make such a life-changing decision.” She further noted that she “was under so much pressure because it was the beginning of comment sections and negativity and hate on the internet.”
13. Reid Ewing
Reid Ewing proves to be one of the few men on our list of musicians who got plastic surgery to appear. He had cheek implants in 2008. Things didn’t turn out the way he’d hoped, however.
“I genuinely believed if I had one procedure, I would suddenly look like Brad Pitt,” Ewing later admitted. “The results were horrendous.”
His lesson was not learned, however, as he still got the chin implant and saw a similar result. “Only a few days passed when I noticed I could move the chin implant under my skin, easily moving it from one side of my face to another. I rushed back to the surgeon, and, acknowledging he had made a mistake, he operated on me again.”
14. Pete Burns
Less than a month before his death, Pete Burns admitted to undergoing more than 300 plastic surgery operations, most of which were meant to fix his previous botched surgery.
In the interview, he said that despite the botched surgery, he didn’t plan to stop. “I hope when I’m 80 and I get to heaven, God doesn’t recognize me.” Then, referring to his botched lip augmentation surgery, he added, “I’ve had a major operation a week for two years to remove it from my cheeks where it had migrated, my Adam’s apple, the back of my eyes. They couldn’t do anything about the liver and kidneys. I had to excrete that out.”
15. Ozzy Osbourne
If there is anyone who surprises us the most on our list of musicians who got plastic surgery, it’s Black Sabbath lead vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, but alas, the singer has admitted to having gotten procedures to fix his appearance.
“I’ve had a face job and a new nose,” he admitted in a 2005 interview with The Sun, a London newspaper. “It boosted my confidence to no end.”

16. SZA
Singer-songwriter SZA, best known for her extended plays See.SZA.Run, S, and Z admitted her plastic surgery to Elle in a May 2023 interview.
“I treat my butt like a purse. It’s just there to enhance whatever else,” the singer admitted. “And that’s why I paid for it because it works all by itself.”
17. Michael Jackson
The late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, is one of the musicians who had plastic surgery and underwent multiple operations over his lifetime. The “Thriller” singer received several nose jobs, a chin implant, eye lifts, and a hair transplant. Regarding the change in his skin color, however, that was the result of his diagnosis with vitiligo, which he evened out with makeup, not surgery.

18. Kenny Rogers
Kenny Rogers is a legend of old-time country music, but he shocked fans when he stepped out in later years with a whole new look in a plastic surgery that can only be described as botched. The “Gambler” singer and guitarist had his eyebrows raised and had skin removed from around his eyes as well as an eyelift. Even Rogers later admitted that he didn’t get the results he wanted, telling People magazine in 2006 that he was displeased with the results.
“I’m not happy about it. [The surgeon] is going to go in and fix that for me. They’re too tight around the eyelids for me. It drives me crazy. If we can fix that, then I’ll be glad I did it. If we can’t fix it, I’ll regret it or get used to it.”

21. Kehlani
Sadly, it was the peer pressure of internet trolls that led to Kehlani choosing to undergo plastic surgery.
“I got breast implants about four years ago because I was very much struggling with that beauty meant to me,” Kehlani told Byrdie in a recent interview. “I remember the video of me performing went viral. People were like ‘she’s horribly built,’ so I went and got breast implants.”
Luckily, the “Distraction” singer came to better terms with the whole body image issue after having the implants removed following years of health issues like fatigue and joint pain. “I actually feel way more beautiful than I ever felt because I feel healthy.”

22. K. Michelle
K. Michelle, best known for R&B hits like “Not a Little Bit” and “Ain’t You,” was similar to Cardi B in her reasonings for getting butt injections, going to the black market to obtain them in hopes of boosting her career.
“It was these ‘hydrogel’ injections, that’s what they were being called,” she told People magazine. “When I found out my favorite rapper did it, that’s when I decided, ‘I’m getting it done.'” Sadly, soon after, she began experiencing severe pain in her legs and back, forcing her to have four surgeries and two blood transfusions in order to get the silicone out of her body. “Now we know the outcome of these [injections]. Before, it was up in the air, but now we know the outcome, that your body cannot handle foreign objects in it.”
