After a well-received first season, which saw rapper T-Pain crowned the winner, Fox’s The Masked Singer returned for a highly anticipated second season on Sept. 25, 2019.
Although ratings weren’t as high as the premiere episode, the show was considered a contributing factor to the network’s No. 1 ranking for the year’s fall entertainment programming, according to Deadline Weekly.
The impressive contestant pool combined has amassed 140 film roles, 69 Emmy nominations with 19 wins, 42 Grammy nominations, 31 Billboard No. 1 singles, 22 Broadway shows, 20 platinum records, seven Super Bowl appearances, five Hall of Fame honors and more.

The Host and Judges
For the popular competition’s second season, Nick Cannon returned to host, as did the original panelist of four celebrity judges – Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger.
Guest celebrity judges included actor Anthony Anderson, television character Triumph the Insult Cosmic Dog voiced by Robert Smigel, actor Joey McHale, and season one winner, T-Pain.
16. Who is Egg on the Masked Singer?
Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir was the first to be unmasked as the Egg Masked Singer following two failed battles during the premiere episode.
His first battle against Butterfly put him at risk after his rendition of “Just Dance” by Lady Gaga and was declared out after his smackdown performance of “One Way or Another” by Blondie against Skeleton.

15. Who is Ice Cream on the Masked Singer?
The Ice Cream Masked Singer was revealed to be professional gamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, who was also revealed during the premiere episode.
Blevins’ first battle against Tree, for which he sang “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, put him at risk. He went to the smackdown round against Ladybug and was eliminated after his vocalization of Devo’s “Whip It.”

14. Who is Panda on the Masked Singer?
Episode Two ended with the Panda Masked Singer’s elimination, revealing famed boxer Laila Ali under the mask.
During the first round, it was Ali singing “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson versus Flamingo.
By the end, Ali was put at risk and smacked it out against Leopard. But his performance “All I Do Is Win” by DJ Khaled failed in comparison to Leopard’s “Respect” by Aretha Franklin.
13. Who is Eagle on the Masked Singer?
Celebrity doctor Dr. Drew Pinsky is the Eagle Masked Singer, being revealed on the season’s third episode.
His performances included “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)” by Meat Loaf and “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” by Nancy Sinatra.
12. Who is Skeleton on the Masked Singer?
Skeleton Masked Singer met their downfall after singing “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet and ended with the reveal of Late Night with David Letterman bandleader Paul Schaffer.
Schaffer’s elimination wasn’t a total surprise. During week one, he was one of four at risk with his renditions of “Rapper’s Delight” by the Sugarhill Gang, “Good Times” by Chic, and “Hard to Handle” by Otis Redding.
11. Who is Penguin on the Masked Singer?
Actress Sherri Shepherd was unmasked as the Penguin Masked Singer during the fifth episode following her performance of “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor.
Shepherd was at risk of elimination in week three after her performances of “The Middle” by Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey, and “Worth It” by Fifth Harmony.

10. Who is Black Widow on the Masked Singer?
Actress Raven-Symone was the next to meet the chopping block, being revealed as the Black Widow Masked Singer during the season’s sixth episode after her rendition of “Believe” by Cher.
Before her elimination, the That’s So Raven alum had performed well, winning her battle in week two with her performance of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” and performing Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” in week four.

9. Who is Ladybug on the Masked Singer?
Television personality Kelly Osbourne made headline news when she was unmasked as the Ladybug Masked Singer in episode seven. She was eliminated after performing “Youngblood” by 5 Seconds of Summer.
In week one, Osbourne performed “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler during her battle round against Rottweiler. At risk, she survived the smackdown round against Ice Cream after her rendition of “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” by Pat Benatar. She sang “Juice” by Lizzo during the fifth episode.
8. Who is Flower on the Masked Singer?
R&B singer Patti LaBelle was the next celebrity eliminated, performing “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor as the Flower Masked Singer in episode eight during her smackdown round against Leopard.
She was put at risk after her battle against Rottweiler, for which she sang “Alone” by Heart.
Up until her elimination, she performed well, winning her battle against Eagle in week three with Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” and subsequently singing “Cheap Thrills” by Sia and “Amazed” by Lonestar.

7. Who is Butterfly on the Masked Singer?
The Butterfly Masked Singer was revealed as Destiny’s Child alum Michelle Williams on episode nine.
Throughout her run, she performed such hits as “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi, “Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones, and “Sorry Not Sorry” by Demi Lovato, which put her at risk, and “Believer” by Imagine Dragons, which led to her elimination.

6. Who is Tree on the Masked Singer?
Actress and comedian Ana Gasteyer made her reveal as the Tree Masked Singer during episode 10.
Gasteyer performed well throughout the season, winning her battle in week one with “High Hopes” by Panic! At the Disco and continued to deliver stellar performances of hits such as “Think” by Aretha Franklin and “No Excuses” by Meghan Trainor.
She won her second battle against Thingamajig in week eight with her rendition of “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler but finally met her downfall after her performance of “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga.
5. Who is Thingamajig on the Masked Singer?
During the 11th episode, two celebrity masks came off, the first of which was NBA player Victor Oladipo disguised as the Thingamajig Masked Singer.
His time on the show wasn’t without its slam dunks, winning his battle in week one with “Easy” by Commodores and further delivering memorable renditions of “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves and “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” by The Temptations.
He was almost eliminated in week eight after losing his battle against Tree with “Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Bublé. He made it through the tenth episode after singing “Ordinary People” by John Legend but fouled out with Bing Crosby’s “Winter Wonderland.”
4. Who is Leopard on the Masked Singer?
The Leopard Masked Singer was the second elimination made in week nine and revealed singer Seal under the feline mask.
Seal’s fourth-place win wasn’t without struggle, seeing his near elimination in week two after he was put at risk with his performance of “Somebody to Love” by Queen. However, he won out over Panda in the smackdown round with Aretha Franklin’s “Respect.”
His next appearances heard renditions of “Stitches” by Shawn Mendes and “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry.
Week seven almost saw his elimination again, having lost his battle against Flamingo with his performance of “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, only squeaking by during the smackdown round against Flower with “Don’t Cha” by The Pussycat Dolls.
He went on to sing “We Are Young” by Fun and finally “Big Spender” by Shirley Bassey, which resulted in his elimination.

The season two finale unmasked the final three celebrities. In third place was singer and talk show host Adrienne Bailon as the Flamingo Masked Singer.
Her run on the show included performances of “Sucker” by Jonas Brothers, “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins, “Never Enough” by Loren Allred, “Lady Marmalade” by Patti LaBelle, “Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac, “Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley, and her final song “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner.

Singer Chris Daughtry was the runner-up for the season as the Rottweiler Masked Singer.
Much like his American Idol days, Daughtry proved a fan favorite, singing songs such as “Maneater” by Hail & Oates, “Love Runs Out” by OneRepublic, “Castle on the Hill” by Ed Sheeran, “Grenade” by Bruno Mars, “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi, “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers, and “Alive” by Sia.
But alas, just like on American Idol, the final win wasn’t meant to be.

Actor and comedian Wayne Brady reigned supreme during season two, revealing himself to the anticipatory judges and crowd alike.
Throughout his victorious run, the Whose Line Is It Anyway star sang popular hits “This Love” by Maroon 5, “Hey Look Ma, I Made it” by Panic!
