This famous country legend isn’t considered short, not by a long shot. In fact, she’s quite tall for a woman. Faith Hill is basically as tall as her talent, standing at about 5 feet 10 inches.

What is Faith Hill’s Real Name?

Faith Hill was actually given the name Audrey Faith Perry after being adopted shortly after birth by her parents, Pat and Edna Perry. She later chose Faith Hill as her stage name because it was catchier than her real name and fit her image. 

Her Favorite Food is Mexican

This legendary country music star claims that her favorite type of food is Mexican cuisine. She reportedly especially enjoys eating chili rellenos but we assume she likes enchiladas and tacos as well! 

Faith Hill was Adopted at Birth

Her First Job was at McDonald’s

Like many teenagers, Faith started working when she was 16 years old at the local McDonald’s. She says during her time there she worked everything from the register to even cleaning.

She Once Auditioned to Sing Backup for Reba McEntire

Faith Hill, during her early days as a musician, auditioned to be one of Reba McEntire’s backup singers. She didn’t get the part, admitting now that she just was not good enough to be a backup singer at the time.

She Attended College Briefly

After graduating from high school in 1986, Hill attended Hinds Junior College, which is now known as Hinds Community College. She left school to move to Nashville so she could start her career in the country music industry.

When She was Young She Sang for Prisoners at Hinds County Jail

When she was a teenager, the “This Kiss” singer performed for prisoners at Hinds County Jail. As you might expect, she also sang in church.

Faith Hill is Also a Successful Actress

She was in several episodes of Touched by an Angel and its spinoff, Promised Land. She also starred in Dixieland and acted alongside Nicole Kidman in The Stepford Wives.

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are Philanthropists

With the help of her husband, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill has made it her mission to give back to communities in considerable ways. They have donated their time and money in many ways, including performing benefit concerts, for causes like helping hurricane and flood victims. To help those struggling with literacy challenges, Faith Hill launched The Faith Hill Family Literacy Project.

She Once Performed on the Same Stage as a Tobacco Spitting Contest

One of the earliest (and probably the grossest) performances she gave was when she went on stage directly following a tobacco-spitting contest. Luckily, the stage was cleaned up with towels before she performed.

Faith Hill Has Been Married Twice

Most people know Hill for her legendary marriage to Tim McGraw. However, did you know that she has actually been married twice? After she moved to Nashville she worked in a music production company where she met her first husband, Daniel Hill. 

The couple married in 1988 and divorced in 1994. After she released her first album, she met and toured with Tim McGraw, and the rest, they say, is history.

She Was Pregnant During the Filming of Her Video with Tim McGraw

While not widely known, Faith Hill was pregnant with her first child during the filming of her music video for the song “It’s Your Love.” The singer later said she was experiencing intense cravings and even drank a milkshake between takes! If you watch the music video closely, you will notice that she does look pregnant.

Faith Hill has Three Daughters
