Priscilla Presley’s wealth isn’t all because of her marriage and divorce from Elvis Presley, which garnered some income. She has also made a significant income from her business investments and acting career.
First came her Los Angeles clothing boutique, Bis & Beau. Several celebrities were regular clients of the shop, including Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore, Cher, and Barbra Streisand. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few years (1973-1976).
She’s had other business ventures, including the launch of her fragrance, Moments, and her bed linen line, the Priscilla Presley Collection.
Priscilla Presley, the Actress
Priscilla Presley’s growing wealth over the years is also thanks to her work as an actress in film and stage. She could’ve potentially made even bigger names as an actress than she already had she not turned down the role of one of Charlie’s Angels or the Bond girl in A View to a Kill because of a dislike of the show and scheduling conflicts, respectively.
Priscilla Presley Early Life
Priscilla Ann Wagner was born on May 24, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, at Brooklyn Naval Hospital.
At the time, she was the only daughter of James Frederick Wagner, a pilot in the U.S. Navy, and 19-year-old teen mom Ann Lillian Iversen. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Presley was just six months old when her father was killed in a plane crash.
Her mother remarried in 1948. A stickler for guys in uniform, she married Paul Beaulieu, a U.S. Air Force officer. Priscilla was only three. Priscilla gained five half-siblings from that relationship – Donald, Michelle, Jeffrey, and twins Thomas and Timothy. Her stepfather also adopted her, which effectively changed her surname to Beaulieu.
As typical when being part of a military family, there were a lot of moves that happened during her young life. Priscilla later admitted that it made her uneasy, which is why she was equally as crushed when her stepfather was receiving a transfer from Del Valle, Texas, to Wiesbaden, West Germany.
Thankfully, fate stepped in in the form of a young specialist in the Army – Elvis Presley.
Priscilla and Elvis
Priscilla was only 14 when she met Elvis, who was ten years her senior, on September 13, 1959, during a party at his home in Bad Nauheim, Germany.
When the teenage Priscilla came home after curfew that night, her parents were already not impressed with the “Hound Dog” singer and insisted that Priscilla never see Elvis again. Elvis was eager, which led to one essential question journalists have asked over the years.
Was Priscilla Presley groomed? No. While many have made insinuations over the years because of their significant age gap and the significant difference in their life experience, Priscilla has insisted that Elvis was simply a very “charming” young man who won her parents’ approval, which allowed the rebellious teenager to constantly travel to see him, even if it meant missing school.

When Elvis left Germany in March 1960 and returned to Graceland, the two kept in touch by phone for the next two years, until her two-week visit in 1962, once Elvis accepted all her parents’ terms for the trip, which included him paying for a first-class round trip ticket and making sure she write home daily.
Priscilla visited again that Christmas and eventually was allowed by her parents to move to Memphis permanently in March 1963, on the understanding that the pair would get married eventually.
Priscilla and Elvis’ Wedding
Elvis proposed to Priscilla around December of 1966, at the encouragement of his infamous manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
They wed five months later, on May 1, 1967, in Las Vegas. Colonel Parker didn’t waste time making sure he could garner as much publicity as possible during the event, which included a press conference immediately following the eight-minute ceremony. The breakfast reception, estimated to cost around $10,000, included several business associates along with the couple’s family and friends.

Why Did Priscilla Wear So Much Makeup?
Being the wife of the King of Rock and Roll wasn’t always easy.
When Priscilla released her memoir Elvis and Me in 1985, she revealed that her appearance over the years had much to do with making the “Blue Suede Shoes” singer happy as he required that she look “perfectly presentable.”
This became such a habit that Priscilla even admitted that her famous husband never saw her without makeup during their entire relationship.
That wasn’t all. Why did Elvis make Priscilla dye her hair? He insisted that the two look more alike.
Speaking of hair, what is Priscilla Presley hair called? That would be a beehive, which she made most iconic during their 1967 wedding.
Despite all these “controlling” tendencies that Elvis exuded over his ex-wife’s appearance, there’s no doubt that Priscilla is who was the love of Elvis’ life. Still, he didn’t always show that either.
During his film-making period, Elvis had numerous affairs with his female co-stars, including Ann-Margret, during the filming of Viva Las Vegas, all of which he denied to Priscilla.

Priscilla wasn’t completely innocent. According to her autobiography, she had a short extramarital affair with her private dance instructor shortly after Lisa Marie was born and while the “Heartbreak Hotel” singer was away filming Live a Little, Love a Little.
Elvis and Priscilla Weren’t Meant to Be
The world was in love with the young couple and what seemed to be their perfect family, but extramarital affairs between both and a grueling schedule for the “Jailhouse Rock” singer during his comeback to music after his film career proved to be fatal for their relationship.
The pair separated on February 24, 1972, with legal separation filed on July 26 of that year. In January 1973, Elvis officially filed for divorce to protect Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s home address from becoming a public record.
They officially divorced on October 9, 1973, agreeing that they would have shared custody of Lisa Marie.
Did Priscilla Presley Get Any Money?
Priscilla Presley received an exorbitant amount of money after divorcing the “Blue Hawaii” actor in 1973.
Once the papers were officially signed, she immediately received $725,000. She also received child and spousal support payments, 50 percent of the sale of their Beverly Hills home, and 5 percent royalties from all of Elvis Presley’s publishing companies.
In 1982, she also became chairwoman and president of Elvis Presley Enterprises until Lisa Marie turned 21 and took it over. Her expertise brought it to be worth more than $100 million.
Who Did Priscilla Presley Marry After Elvis?
Priscilla Presley never formally remarried following her divorce from Elvis in 1973, but she has been linked to several romantic relationships.
Not long after the divorce was finalized, she and Lisa Marie moved in with Mike Stone, a karate instructor. The two split up in 1975. Not long after, she reportedly had a short-term relationship with Robert Kardashian following his split from Kris Jenner, but Elvis supposedly scared him off.
She also had a six-year relationship with Michael Edwards, a model, but that entanglement ended after Edwards began to express inappropriate feelings toward a teenage Lisa Marie.
Priscilla’s most significant relationship since splitting up with Elvis was with Marco Antonio Garcia, former screenwriter and turned computer programmer. The two were together from 1984 to 2006, and it’s because of that relationship that the answer to the question, “How many biological children does Priscilla Presley have” is two. The pair welcomed a son, Navarone Garibaldi, on March 1, 1987.
Did Priscilla Go to Elvis’ Funeral?
The world was shattered after the “Love Me Tender” singer was found dead at Graceland on August 16, 1977, from an apparent heart attack.

Will Priscilla Presley Be Buried Next to Elvis?
We’ll never officially know until Priscilla dies, but she has made it clear that it’s her wish that she be buried next to him at Graceland. RadarOnline.com even found out from a Graceland trustee that “Priscilla still thinks of herself as Elvis’ widow, and her rightful resting place is next to him.”
What is Priscilla Suing For?
Not long after the untimely death of her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, Priscilla Presley challenged the will.
The court documents asked that a 2016 document that had only recently been found be invalidated by a judge. The document stated that Lisa Marie’s children, Riley Keough and Benjamin Keough (now deceased), would replace Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s former manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees and beneficiaries of the estate.
So, why is Priscilla contesting the will?
Concerns brought up by Priscilla have been considered valid points, including that her daughter’s signature may have been forged on the document. She also caused suspicion when she pointed out that Priscilla’s name was misspelled and that the amendment to the will did not contain a witness signature or a notary.
Priscilla also denied any family rift, particularly between her and Lisa Marie, that would cause the latter to amend the will.
“I loved Elvis very much as he loved me,” Priscilla said. “Lisa is a result of our love. For anyone to think anything differently would be a travesty of the family legacy and would be disrespectful of what Elvis left behind in his life.”
