John Michael Osbourne was his given name at birth by his parents. The name “Ozzy” was a nickname given to him when he was in primary school, and he chose to keep it as his stage name.
4. He has More than 15 Tattoos
Ozzy Osbourne has more than 15 tattoos that he has gotten throughout his career.
Interestingly enough, he gave himself his first tattoo when he was only 16 years old. The letters, O-Z-Z-Y are tattooed across the knuckles on his left hand. It has been reported that he did the tattoo himself with a sewing needle and pencil lead.

Following an ATV accident where he suffered from several broken bones, it was reported that Ozzy Osbourne stopped breathing. He was resuscitated by his bodyguard and was in a coma for about a week.

While sleeping in his bed naked, Ozzy woke to discover a burglar riffling through Sharon’s closet.
He sprung into action to fight him off, however, the robber ended up running away quickly, along with some of Sharon’s expensive jewelry and her wedding ring.
9. Ozzy Really Did Bite the Head Off of a Live Dove
In 1981 Ozzy and Sharon had a meeting with CBS Records to sign a record deal. Ozzy, with good original intentions, put doves in his pocket to set them free once the deal was done.
However, he was so intoxicated that he forgot his original plan and decided to bite the head off of one of them and toss it on the table.

During a meeting with CBS Europe in Germany, Ozzy Osbourne was once again intoxicated and thought he performed a little dance and kissed an executive.
However, his wife informed him that he danced on the table, but instead of a kiss, he actually peed in the executive’s wine glass.
