He has released numerous singles and albums with massive sales, and there’s no evidence that he’ll be slowing down anytime soon.

If you want to see Seal in 2023, you’ll be happy to know you won’t have to pay an expensive price. Fans can get away with spending as low as 44 dollars, with an average cost of 95 dollars per ticket.

How Did Seal Become Famous?

Although Seal has been active in music since 1987, he didn’t start coming to prominence until 1990 when he provided vocals for producer Adamski’s hit single, “Killer,” with the song eventually going to number one on the UK charts.

Hot off that success, the future “Newborn Friend” singer signed to ZTT Records, released his self-titled debut album under the production of Trevor Horn in 1991, and released more songs, including the international hit debut single, “Crazy.”

Instantly, his career was off and running, with a number two peak on the UK Singles Chart and a number seven peak on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.

That fact was proven even more when at the 1992 Brit Awards at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, he took home three wins: Best British Male, Best British Video for “Killer,” and Best British Album for Seal.

Seal’s Career

With an international hit and three awards under his belt, the “Future Love Paradise” singer started putting his efforts into philanthropy work.

In 1992, he collaborated with the Red Hot Organization to appear on a compilation CD titled Red Hot + Dance, which raised money for AIDS charities and awareness about the AIDS epidemic.

Seal contributed “Crazy (If I Was Trev Mix)” to the album, featuring artists such as George Michael and Madonna.

The “Prayer for the Dying” singer gave fans what they craved in 1994 with his second studio album, also called Seal or Seal 2, which went on to receive a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.

The biggest single from the record was “Kiss from a Rose,” which garnered the most fame after being remixed and released on the Batman Forever soundtrack in 1995.

The song earned Seal two Grammy Awards, including for Record of the Year and Song of the Year in 1996.

It remains his most successful single in the United States, topping the Billboard Hot 100 in August 1995, performing better than the UK, where it only peaked at number four.

After that, more Seal albums were forthcoming, with his third studio album, Human Being, debuting in 1998.

The album was one of his most difficult to release, as he had a strained relationship with producer Trevor Horn and changed from ZTT Records to Warner Bros. Records in 1997.

It proved to be well worth the wait for fans as it was certified gold in just two months and produced such singles as “Human Beings,” “Lost My Faith,” and “Latest Craze.”

By the 2000s, the “Secret” singer’s fan base grew. Still, they were forced to wait patiently for new music after the originally planned Togetherland album was canceled after it was set for release in 2001.

Although he was in the spotlight briefly for co-writing and singing on the Jakatta hit single “My Vision,” and working on other projects with French singer Mylène Farmer and Santana, it would take two years for him to finally release his fourth studio album, Seal IV, in 2003.

In 2007, Seal released his fifth studio album, System, and subsequently followed it up with Soul (2008), Soul 6: Commitment (2010), Soul 2 (2011), (2015), and Standards (2017).

Albums were not the only thing the “Love’s Divine” singer was producing over the years, however, as he released a greatest-hits compilation album in 2004 and multiple CD/DVD packages of his Live in Paris performance from the Olympia Theatre on Jul. 6, 2004.

Outside of music, Seal has kept busy with other projects, too.

Some of his most significant include performing the song “Mona Lisa” for the 2003 film Mona Lisa Smile, serving as a judge on such shows as the 10th annual Independent Music Awards and the 12th season of America’s Got Talent, coaching for three seasons of The Voice Australia (2012-2013, 2017), and competing on the second season of The Masked Singer, for which he posed as “Leopard” and finished in fourth place.

He also appeared alongside such artists as Jencarlos Canela, Trisha Yearwood, and Chris Daughtry for Tyler Perry’s musical rendition of The Passion: New Orleans, which aired on Mar. 20, 2016, on Fox.

The live-taped musical, for which Seal portrayed the Roman governor Pontius Pilate, used popular modern-day songs to help tell the story.

Seal performed Tina Turner’s “We Don’t Need Another Hero” as a duet with Jencarlos and Tears for Fears’ “Mad World” as a solo.

Seal’s Early Life

Although his parents are known, Seal grew up in Westminster, London, and was raised by a foster family.

He received an architecture degree after two years of study and had multiple jobs throughout London before beginning his music career.

Who is Seal Married to Now?

Currently, Seal remains unmarried.

He is best known for being in a relationship with German supermodel turned TV personality Heidi Klum, best known for such shows as Germany’s Next Top Model and America’s Got Talent.

The pair began dating in February 2004 and later married on May 10, 2005, on a beach in Mexico, five months after he proposed on Dec. 23, 2004.

For the next several years of their marriage, the lovebirds renewed their vows on every anniversary in front of their closest family and friends.

In 2010, Seal said of the tradition: “Each year, Heidi and I get remarried. It’s a great party, but for about an hour, we go off on our own down to a private beach. We sit there with the kids and read vows to each other as the sun sets. It’s a very special moment to us.”

Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t last forever, and the two separated. The announcement was made on Jan. 12, 2012, with Klum officially filing for divorce on Apr. 6, 2012. The divorce was final two-and-a-half years later, on Oct. 14, 2014.

Like many celebrity pairings, especially amidst a divorce, fans wanted to know who had the most money. This time proved no different as questions of “Who is richer, Heidi Klum or Seal,” became a massively searched question across the internet.

While Seal’s net worth of $50 million is nothing to sneeze at, his ex-wife’s net worth is more than triple that amount as she rakes in $160 million.

Did Seal get money from Heidi Klum after the divorce? While the specific terms of their divorce settlement are unclear, it is known that a postnuptial agreement was signed before they were wed, which probably protected Klum from having to give up too much of her riches.

Seal’s Children

Although Seal and Heidi Klum’s marriage didn’t last, they are forever linked, thanks to their four children.

The oldest of Seal’s daughters is actually his daughter by adoption, as Klum became pregnant with her during her former relationship with Italian Formula One team manager Flavio Briatore. Seal stepped in, however, officially adopting her daughter in late 2009.

Klum has emphatically stated that Seal is the only father figure her daughter has known and that Briatore has no relationship with her.

How many biological children do Heidi Klum and Seal have together? During their relationship, Seal and Klum had three children.

The oldest of Seal’s sons, Henry Gunther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, was born in September 2005, with his second son, Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel, following in November 2006. The couple’s youngest child, a daughter whom they named Lou, was born in October 2009.

Is Seal close to his children? Despite their relationship trials, Klum has praised Seal as a father.

In February 2011, she said: “When I first met Seal, he had a kindness and compassion that was so sincere, I knew he’d be a good father. … He has infinite amounts of love and patience for our kids. … He puts me and the children first.”

Seal’s Tattoos

While there’s no photographic evidence of it, when Seal married Heidi Klum, it was said that they decided to get tattoos for one another. Klum’s tattoo featured an abstract of Seal’s name and four stars for their children. She later got his name removed after their divorce.

We’re curious if Seal did the same with whatever tattoo he was sporting.

Seal’s Health

With a visible scar that’s hard to hide, many have wondered what causes Seal’s face to be that way.

His facial scarring is due to a condition known as discoid lupus erythematosus, which causes sores and skin inflammation, as well as leaves large scars.

Seal’s scarring started when he was just 23, and he was later officially diagnosed with the disease.

To fans’ relief, it is a much less life-threatening form of the disease than other cases, such as that suffered by famed pop star Selena Gomez, whose struggle with the disease led to her needing a kidney transplant in 2017.
