According to reports, at around 11 pm on Friday, April 2, 2021, DMX reportedly suffered cardiac arrest at his home and was brought to White Plains Hospital in New York, where he was claimed to be in severe condition.
According to reports, a narcotic overdose was suspected as a possible cause of the heart attack.The next day, his attorney stated that he did not know what had caused the heart problem but that DMX was already on life support and would remain so until further notice.
That night, according to reports, the rapper suffered from cerebral hypoxia (a lack of oxygen to the brain), and paramedics tried to resuscitate him with no success.
Nakia Walker, DMX’s former manager, stated that the rapper was in a sort of “vegetative state” due to “lung and brain failure, as well as no current brain activity.”
A statement from DMX’s manager on Tuesday, April 6, stated that the rapper had fallen into a coma and that he would be subjected to brain function tests, adding that the “family will select the best course of action from there.”
Two to three days later, Rifkind acknowledged erroneous rumors that DMX had died over social media, urging people to stop spreading false news.
“DMX is on a ventilator, we are trying hard to save his life, but you all must understand that spreading false news is inappropriate,” he remarked.
