Rochester Thaw Festival Takes Over Downtown Saturday, March 25th

Rochester has quite the musical treat for its residents and surrounding communities this Saturday, March 25th.

The Rochester Thaw is a music festival taking over downtown with 30 performances in 6 different venues: Chateau Theater, Bleu Duck Kitchen, Cafe Steam – Broadway, Art Heads Emporium, LC’s Venue, and Treedome.

The headliners are Bad Bad Hats and Jaeydn James, along with supporting acts Why Not, Immaculate Beings, and Faith Bobbett.

Bad Bad Hats have been made a household name by being an energetic band that brings the audience together dancing, feeling good, and even laughing at times. The lead singer Kerry Alexander is particularly talented, relatable, and easy to watch an entire performance and want more.

The rest of the line-up must be previewed because there are some pretty stellar live performances scheduled! I particularly liked seeing Annie and the Bang Bang at Big Turn Fest recently.

Loud Mouth Brass Featuring Jae Havoc is also going to be a great time, creatively mixing music genres by two talented acts.

Festival goers also get to look forward to the variety of genres from indie rock to jazz to folk / Americana.

There are more than a few choices of food during the event but note that Thesis Beer Project and Little Thistle Brewing designed two awesome beers for the event.

Rochester Thaw is this weekend – Saturday, March 25 from 3-11:30 pm! It’s $45 and online tickets are SOLD OUT.

There will be in-person tickets at Cafe Steam, Theshold Arts, Art Heads Emporium, and Treedome. There’s still time!

More info here. See you there.
