Open Streets Prepares to Take Over Northeast— Sunday, August 4th

Join us this Sunday at Open Streets Northeast! Explore Northeast Minneapolis by bike, foot, skateboard, or however you like.

Open Streets Minneapolis invites people to be curious about their city as they use active transportation, view live performances, create art, and make new connections with their neighbors.  

Visit with local businesses, artists, community organizations, and your neighbors. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Open Streets Northeast will take place from 11 AM to 5 PM on Central Ave NE from 26th Ave NE to 18 ½ Ave NE, along 22nd Ave NE from Central to Monroe St NE, and down Monroe St from 22nd to Broadway St NE. Click here to view a map of the event

Programming along the route will feature over 100 street space hosts, including dancing and games with Shift Fitness & Massage on Central Ave & 20th Ave and Latin dancing with One Reason Dance Studio near Central Ave & Lowry Ave.

Enjoy the opportunity to explore Central Ave, 22nd Ave, & Monroe St by biking, walking, and rolling without cars! Discover hidden gems, talk with neighbors, and experience the neighborhood in a whole new way. 

Music In Minnesota will host artist performances by Major Days, J. Plaza, ElloXo, Ka Lia Universe and DPLV!
