Open Streets Minneapolis Returns to Franklin Avenue This Sunday

Looking for an alternative to the State Fair this weekend? Then join us this Sunday at Open Streets Franklin!

Back for the sixth year, Open Streets Franklin will take place August 25 from 11 AM to 5 PM on Franklin Ave E from Portland Ave to 27th Ave S.

This week’s installment of Open Streets will feature the American Indian Cultural Corridor from 11th Ave to Bloomington Ave. Along the corridor, visitors can enjoy storytelling, live music, the Four Sisters Farmers Market, health resources, and more.

Start planning your day with the event map and these highlights you won’t want to miss.

Programming along the route will include over 100 street space hosts. Fun activities include music, food, and art at the Seward Co-op Creamery Cafe, a Mini East African Street Festival on Franklin & 25th, and music, games, and dancing with BritFit 50 Health Wellness & Cultural Arts between Bloomington Ave & 16th Ave S.
