Charlie Diamond releases raw single, New York’s Been Good To Me. Driven by acoustic guitar and peppered harmonica licks, “New York’s Been Good To Me” was written late at night on his Macbook in one take.

“The song is about arriving in New York with nothing more than my duffle bag and harmonica, trying to make it as a Folk singer.”

MIM: What does this project mean to you?

A glimpse into the life of a troubadour dreamer

MIM: Who are your biggest musical influences?

Charlie: Elvis is my number one. I always loved The Beatles and The Beach Boys for their songwriting. Bowie for his vibe and the whole punk scene for the “Fuck the man attitude”.

MIM: What inspires you to create music?

Charlie: It’s why I was born

MIM: What is one piece of advice you would tell your younger self or anyone who is pursuing a career in music?

Charlie: Take the risk

MIM: What can listeners look forward to from you?

Charlie: Living in the space between their heads and their pillows. Where they dance and reach for their dreams.
