Local Minneapolis alternative rock band, The Violet Nines, have an extra special concert coming up at Fine Line on March 29th! This concert will be the official release of their upcoming EP, Cloud 9. If that isn’t reason enough to celebrate, The Violet Nines will also be donating all proceeds from this concert to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Leukemia survivor, Minnesota native, and friend of the band, Lyndsey Danberry sparked the idea for The Violet Nines to collaborate with this local charity. Approximately every three minutes one person in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer, and this concert hopes to bring awareness to that statistic. The Cloud 9 EP Release Show will support local music, local heroes, and local charity— what could be better?
Emceeing the event will be another fellow Minnesotan and leukemia survivor, Alexa Score. She is known for her professional wakeboarding career and as a television and radio personality for the Minnesota Vikings. This event will also feature live music from Bluehound and Lazy Scorsese.
