NE Minneapolis Open Streets

When cultures live as one!

New York has Little Italy, San Francisco has China Town, and Minneapolis has Nordeast. Once again this summer, N.E. Minneapolis hosts the Open Streets event, welcoming bikers, families, and businesses to walk the streets and show off its community. There are many parts of Minneapolis, but none more culturally diversified than N.E, and Open Streets showcases the beautification and collectiveness of diverse cultures becoming a community of one. Where else in Minnesota can you get Ukrainian perogies, Mexican elote, and Middle Eastern falafel all in a one block area?

Central was the centerpiece of this year’s Open Streets, featuring Latin dancing outside the incredible Maya Cuisine restaurant, music on every corner, and even a chance to get a free Reiki session by the Badass Spiritual Warriors! Pet-friendly, kid-friendly, and welcoming of all N.E. Minneapolis, these festivities are representative of everything that is Minnesota nice!
