Grammy nominated funk group Tank and the Bangas will be headlining Simpson Housing Services’ upcoming benefit concert, Music 4 Shelter, on November 4. We had a chance to sit down with Tank and hear why you should come rock out for a good cause.

“I definitely know what it’s like to have a home and shelter…and have it literally ripped from you,” Tank shared. “There is nothing like feeling safe and feeling at home…This is pretty important, because on a certain level I can relate.”
Tank and the group are looking forward to using their platform to shine a light on a good cause. Simpson Housing Services has a mission to house, support, and advocate for people experiencing homelessness. With this benefit concert in its second year, the organization is looking forward to a great night of live music, games, and fundraising.
“It’s going to be exciting and high energy,” Tank exclaimed. “I always tell people to bring your dancing shoes. Because we’re about to get down!”
