The Wombats Shake Up First Avenue

On Thursday, July 12th, English indie band, The Wombats took stage at First Avenue in Downtown Minneapolis. The near sold out show was definitely the place to be that night. The crowd eagerly buzzed while a projection of the late Prince was played center stage. Whether a ticket holder recently encountered The Wombats, or have been following them since their first album; the anticipation was shown all over the room.

With classic singles for the fans to sing along to, it was hard to hear your own voice. 1996, Give Me A Try, and Be Your Shadow were among some of the crowd favorites. The Wombats didn’t forget to give us a few new songs as well, and everyone was just as crazy about the new songs as they were the old.
