With a break from unpredictable weather that plagued the area all day, Los Lonely Boys took the stage to a full house at the Weesner Amphitheater, Apple Valley, MN. The three piece family band from San Angelo, Texas have been creating their own brand of “Texican Rock-n-Blues” for over twenty years.
With Henry on guitar a series of guitar, Jojo on a six string bass, and Ringo on drums, the Brother’s Garza quickly settled in and took the crowd on a variety of musical influences including those from blues great Stevie Ray Vaughn to funky R & B sounds.
The well thought-out set list left all without disappointments and sound was well suited for the intimate outdoor facility the band had previously performed at in 2015. Cotton Fields and Crossroads brought the crowd to their feet with Henry’s extended guitar blues solo.
The band also took to time recognize the passing of country music icon Glen Campbell and jumped into a soulful sound segment featuring a James Brown and then Michael Jackson medley. Henry’s shout out to the crowd “Let’s get Lonely” led into a signature harmonica solo in the song Man to Beat.
LLB closed with their No.1 single, Heaven . A song selling over 2 million copies and spending 76 weeks on Billboard Top 200 album chart earned them a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.
The band continues it’s 2017 tour across the U.S. concluding in a three night perfomance in Austin in November.
