Idles has finally touched back down in America for their Beauty From Ashes tour, and St. Paul was ready to give them the welcome they deserve. Their last stop at First Avenue in 2019 is still a buzz in concert-going circles, so it’s no surprise that they were able to sell out the much larger Palace Theater on Thursday night.
If you’re on the fence about seeing this band – GET OFF THAT FENCE. Their blend of rage, vulnerability, and empathy is a mix not to miss. It’s a refreshing feeling to be in a space with those focuses at the forefront. A kind of community forms and it lead to a really special experience whether you’re in the mosh pit or sitting in the back.
