On a beautiful Saturday night in September, friends and family gathered at the Shakopee Brewhall to see Dresses with Pockets celebrate their 4th anniversary with a wonderful performance of songs specially requested by listeners and guests!
Eric Wagner and Maxwell Ward have been playing shows at the Shakopee Brewhall every Friday for the past few weeks this summer. On Saturday, they celebrated 4 years by also inviting friends, Brian Wagner and Anna Jennings to play bass and drums this week when the pair is typically keys, guitar, and vocals.
Maxwell’s energy while singing is contagious and it’s hard not to sing along when you see how much fun everyone is having and seeing smiles not only from the performers but also from people coming to the brew hall to see! Others also made their way into the brew hall on a whim and got a special live music surprise that they stuck around for.
Maxwell and Eric began their journey playing at Valleyfair in Shakopee, MN, and have elevated their sound throughout the years by honing in on their skills, adding new songs to their sets, and asking friends to join when they can. These two have incredible talent and their renditions of songs like, “Treasure” by Bruno Mars and “Style” by Taylor Swift are fun, poppy, and fit well in an acoustic setting.
Guests throughout the brew hall were singing along, and even an adorable dog barked along with us clapping in admiration for each performance. The love and support for Dresses with Pockets in this community is intense, heartwarming and a joy to be a part of, and getting to see friends doing what they love and showing off their talents is always a special experience.
Congratulations on four years to Dresses with Pockets and I can’t wait to see you in the coming weekends at the Shakopee Brewhall and see your progress in the years to come.
