I first met Bre Lewis when we were just a couple of confused teenage punks with stars in our eyes for music. She was attending the recording college IPR, while my bandmate and I were recording a few songs with a classmate of hers. Since then, our interests and styles have naturally changed plenty, however her passion for music continues to be a strong burning flame guiding her through life.
Supported by John Kargol on Guitar, Dan Olson on Bass, Blake Johnson on Drums, the group has released their self-titled album less than a year ago. With John and Bre having the knowledge of audio engineering, they recorded the entire album in a home studio, rightfully named Home Brewed Studios.
In our interview, Bre talks about the trials and tribulations of what it is to be an independent artist; from finding band members who jive to discovering their original sound. Bre also touches on how important it is to be a positive person and how not to let the little things, or your past prevent you from being happy. We even visit the meaning behind her tattoos!
