My Chemical Romance Will Be At Xcel Center in September!

My Chemical Romance just announced their North American tour dates! The epic band from the 2000s is back and the fans are in a frenzy of excitement. Los Angeles’s concert sold out immediately and many of the tour dates in the future are expected to also sell out.

The Twin Cities concert is September 11, 2020, at St Paul’s Xcel Energy Center, which has a capacity of just over 20,000 seats. They are playing Detroit first, then a festival in Chicago afterward before heading to the East Coast.

THIS Friday, January 31st, tickets go on sale at Noon. Set your alarms, remember your passwords, and get your card numbers ready!

My Chemical Romance is big for its theatrical rock in the 2000s. They tend to be more popular among a younger crowd, though many ages enjoyed their big guitar solos and dark but powerful lyrics. Now their fan base has grown to include not only those who grew up with the music but also a new crop of teenagers who are discovering them.

Their four albums from the 2000s have aged well due to their unique sound; a style similar to alt-rock genres but without the high pitched guitar or whiny vocals. It’s prime time for the guitar and bass instruments to boldly shine again alongside a quick drum beat.

Until then, I’ll be watching The Umbrella Academy (which has a fantastic soundtrack) on Netflix and reliving their music videos and old concert footage.

Here is the Xcel Energy event website. Good luck!
