Chris Stapleton Was All About Papa John’s Pizza

Of all our Chris Stapleton facts, this makes us smile the most.

Before Chris Stapleton hit it big as a singer and songwriter, he was an employee of Papa John’s Pizza. In an interview with CMT in 2013, he even admitted to still having his employee badge.

“Every time I open my medicine cabinet, I see it as a reminder that I worked a lot of different things to be doing what I’m doing now,” Stapleton said.

Chris Stapleton is known for his signature cowboy hat over his long brown locks and beard, but he didn’t always have this iconic look going for him.

Chris Stapleton, the Record Breaker

In 2015, Chris Stapleton made country music history when he became the first artist ever to win Album of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards in the same year.

He has also broken the record of the most Male Vocalist of the Year wins when he received the honor for a sixth time in 2022.

Chris Stapleton Returns to His Roots

As if all these fun Chris Stapleton facts weren’t enough to make us love him, his philanthropic heart causes us to burst with admiration.

He returned to his roots, Johnson Central High School, in 2016 to perform for the staff and students. 

Also, as part of the ACM Lifting Lives program, he donated $57,000 worth of musical instruments, according to People magazine.
