One year after a successful lineup of music that included the likes of Brother Ali, Kaskade, Zedd, and Ice Cube, the X Games has announced its annual return with another stellar list of artists. This year will feature a diverse cast of artists including the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, Minneapolis underground hip-hop mainstay P.O.S, Diplo, The Blind Shake, Chevy Metal and SWMRS.
There’s a little bit for everyone, as the Armory hosts four days of consecutive musical performances as follows:
August 1st:
Chevy Metal
SWMRS
August 2nd:
Wu-Tang Clan
P.O.S
August 3rd:
Diplo
August 4th:
Incubus
The Blind Shake
The performances start with the self-dubbed “ultimate cover band” Chevy Metal, which is led by Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins and bassist Wiley Hodgen, and Oakland based rock group SWMRS.
Next up is the hip-hop night, which includes a performance from local legend P.OS, who is sharing the stage with East-Coast Hip Hop Legends Wu-Tang Clan. It’ll truly be an incredible combo for a Minnesotan hip-hop lover.
The diverse lineup continues with the Grammy-award-winning producer Diplo, who is well known for his involvement in Major Lazer, his tastemaking music, and his recent two projects Silk City and LSD.
Finally, the weekend rounds out with Incubus, the multi-platinum rock band from LA and famous for “Drive,” “Stellar” and many other well-known hits of the 2000s. They will be joined by the futuristic surf-rock band The Blind Shake
