Last night marked the first night of the band SHAED’s 2019 fall tour! They will be on the road for about 25 days, and Minnesota was lucky enough to welcome them and have them perform their debut show at First Avenue’s 7th Street Entry. The excitement from the Minnesota crowd was evident, and we are proud to be the first sold-out show to which they performed on this tour!

Absofacto
Beginning the night was an energetic performance put on by Absofacto. His set started at 7:45 and he played a variety of his songs that really got the crowd loose, to the point where everyone was dancing and swaying with his songs.
Absofacto really filled the room with his music and put on the best possible show we could have asked for. When it came time for him to wrap up his set, he stated that “this last song is the one I’m sure you all probably know me from” He then proceeded to play his hit song “Dissolve,” which charted 9.3 million views on Youtube and is a popular song amongst many platforms. After Absofacto left the stage, the lights went dim and the audience shuffled around while the venue got the stage ready for SHAED.

SHAED
As 8:50 approached, the lights shut completely off, and out from the shadows came vocalist Chelsea Lee. She was accompanied on stage by the multi-talented instrumentalists (who are also twin brothers) Max and Spencer Ernst. Together, the trio forms the band SHAED.
This group has been together since High-School and they have been best friends since then. The band started off strong and kept getting progressively better, all leading up to their final performance which was of their hit song “TRAMPOLINE.” This song garnered a lot of attention toward the band; even Zayn Malik, a member of the former group One Direction, picked up the song and remixed it in collaboration with the band.

Both Absofacto and SHAED put on the best possible show that they could have. This was the inaugural first show of their fall tour; it certainly outperformed any expectations and set the bar high for their future shows.
