Queens Of The Stone Age graced the stage at Roy Wilkins Auditorium for a rocking set on Saturday. Brighton natives, Royal Blood, opened for the California rock veterans, who have been at the tour game since 1996.
Composed of Mike Kerr (vocals/guitar) and Ben Thatcher (drums), the two played a ten-song set including hits “Lights Out,” and ” Figure it Out.” Despite being a humble duo, Thatcher’s energy and Kerr’s showmanship managed to outperform other conventional larger bands.
Their tour with Queens of the Stone Age continues through October and will continue a headline tour across Europe and Australia. Find tickets here and check out their latest album, How Did We Get So Dark?.
