Fleetwoood Mac ex-frontwoman and rock legend, Stevie Nicks. performed at the Minnesota State Fair grandstands on August 25th, 2017 for a large crowd of nearly thirteen thousand fans.
Vanessa Carlton warmed up the attendees with a piano-driven set, and was eventually clear why the two singer-songwriters teamed up to play the same event after Nicks covered Carlton’s “Carousel” from her latest album “24 Karat Gold,” a favorite of Nicks’ mother before her passing in December of 2012.
Due to recent cataract surgery, Nicks spent the night behind a pair of stylish sunglasses. She countered the gloomy weather by chatting with the crowd and sharing humorous stories of her past, including a confession that involved Prince.
Despite a few flubbed notes there and there throughout her set, some would say Nicks delivered one of her most high-spirited performances. Please enjoy a look at a few great photos taken by our talented photographer, Sara Fish.
