Stockholm singer-songwriter, Léon, made her Minneapolis debut at 7th Street Entry last night. Despite being only eighteen years old, Léon performed an impressive twelve song set to a sold out, passionate crowd. Her setlist consisted of ten original songs as well as two covers: Arctic Monkeys’ “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” which was a perfect match for her deep, complex vocals.
Léon took time between songs to engage one-on-one with her audience, giving each of them an intimate, personal experience. She closed her set with her single “Tired of Talking” which has impressively cracked the American Top 40. I fully expect to be seeing and hearing a lot more of Léon in the near future. She definitely has the potential to grow in to a full-fledged pop star.
Check out her most recent single, Sleep Deprived, which was released last month, her 2016 single, Think About you, as well as her 2015 EP, Treasure.
