It wouldn’t be the start of a new decade without a toilet paper shortage, an ongoing pandemic, and complete alienation from all of our family and friends.

Clubs, bars and venues are shut down indefinitely, but luckily you don’t need a dance floor to get your groove on. Tonight, Jae Graham offers us his new track, “Something Gold” to shake off these isolation blues.

“Something Gold” is just as it sounds: understated, groovy, and feels familiar while being something totally new. The lyrics are light but meaningful, leaving the listener with an opportunity to interpret the song for themselves.

It doesn’t come off as a love song or something that will ring through the nightclubs, but something in-between. Something to dance to in the shower, perhaps.

Lines like, “I know it haunts you/but the feeling it goes grey/you’ve got something/not a lot of us can say” give the song character and wit.

Rumor has it that Jae Graham has a handful of new tunes coming in the next few months and we are certainly ready for those.
