Hootie and the Blowfish & Weird Al Yankovic Tapped for 2019 Minnesota State Fair

Tickets for the two performances will go on sale Friday, December 7th

The first two headliners of the Grandstand Concert Series (proudly sponsored by Sleep Number) at the 2019 Minnesota State Fair were announced this morning: Hootie & the Blowfish with the Barenaked Ladies (Aug. 22) and “Weird Al” Yankovic (Aug. 27).

Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of their record-shattering album Cracked Rear View next year, Hootie and the Blowfish announced this morning on they will be going out on tour with their friends Barenaked Ladies. Stopping at venues across the country, such as Madison Square Garden in New York and The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, the “Group Therapy Tour” will bring them to St. Paul, Minnesota on August 22nd to perform at the State Fair Grandstands.

Also announced to be performing at next years fair today was “Weird Al” Yankovic. Fresh off his two-night residency at Pantages Theater in Minneapolis last April, the 59-year-old will return to Minnesota next August as apart of his “Strings Attached Tour.”

Tickets to see Hootie and the Blowfish (ranging from $51-$90) go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday; tickets to see “Weird Al” Yankovic ($31) go on sale at noon on Friday. You can score ’em via Etix or from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fair box office.
