A magical phenomenon happens late June every year as thousands descend into Eau Claire for the Blue Ox Festival. Campers, families, musicians, artists, and diehard fans gather to partake in a capped festival that caters to the experience more than a revenue grab like other national large format events. This two and a half day schedule covers three stages (four if you count the Family Stage), and boosts a slew of unique activities like music instrument workshops, yoga, meditation, and hooping.
Music in Minnesota have witnessed 5 of the past 6 festivals, soaking in the bubbles, the stories, and most importantly the music. This year featured headliners Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Charley Crockett, and the Marcus King Band. While sentimental moments like Them Coulee Boys said goodbye, Virtual Band winners Cigarette Picnic made their debut, and trio groups I’m With Her and Folk Bitch Trio shone bright.
Here is our photo gallery from Blue Ox 2026 where you can relive some of those mystic magical musical moments again.
