The Menzingers Release New Album, “After the Party”

Although The Menzingers question what they’ll do now that their twenties are over, they haven’t let their age keep them from touring. The guys from Philadelphia swung through Minneapolis on March 4th. The month-long tour started a few weeks after releasing their most recent album, After the Party. The Menzingers opened their set with the first song off the album, Tellin’ Lies.

The Menzingers are signed to Epitaph Records, alongside other huge acts–including NOFX, Bring Me the Horizon, Motion City Soundtrack, and many more. Although Epitaph records has alternative bands ranging from many different genres, The Menzingers have an indie punk sound. Their fans proved they not only enjoy their sound, but they understand the band as well. During their set, The Menzingers gave a shout-out to the fans that brought them a whole vegan rotisserie turkey. The uniqueness of this gift made it apparent that their fans go above and beyond for these guys.

The Menzingers aren’t the only ones with fans that understand them though. Before The Menzingers headlined The Cabooze, Jeff Rosenstock was welcomed to Minnesota by many adoring fans. Before his set, you could overhear many people boasting about how great he is. Jeff knows the importance of maintaining close relationships with his listeners because of his humble start. Jeff Rosenstock has been known to offer his music free on the internet, because sharing his music is far more important to him than making money. This humble outlook helped him gain the respect and love of his many fans. In between songs, he even went out of his way to remind everyone how happy he was to be in Minnesota.
