The first wave of performers for this year’s Riot Fest was announced this week and is set to include headlining performances from Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, and a long-awaited reunion of West-Coast punk band Jawbreakers. More than 70 acts were included in the initial announcement, and other performers include Paramore, Prophets of Rage, Wu-Tang Clan, A Day To Remember, Vic Mensa, FIDLAR, and Pennywise.
The festival will happen September 15-17, and will once again take place at Douglas Park on Chicago’s west side. Three-day passes are on sale now, including both general admission and VIP options.
Also, announced this week were a few bands whose sets will feature full album performances at this year’s festival. This list includes Dinosaur Jr. performing their 1987 album You’re Living All Over Me, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Let’s Face It record with a special performance. Another announcement will be coming from Riot Fest next month which will include more than 25 more artists we can expect to see at this year’s festival.
