Malcolm McCormick, best known as the rapper Mac Miller has passed away this afternoon. TMZ Reports a 911 call was placed from his San Fernando Valley home where paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
We understand Miller has been battling substance abuse since the end of his relationship with Ariana Grande. Miller totaled his vehicle back in May, was arrested for a hit and run, and charged with a DUI.
After his arrest, Ariana tweeted, “Pls take care of yourself”. Ariana opened up about his substance abuse and said it put a difficult strain on their relationship.
However, Miller dealt with addiction long before the break up with the pop star. In a podcast interview with Billboard, he admitted having been doing drugs since he was just 10 years old.
Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa tweeted, “Praying for Mac’s family and that he rest easy.”
