Jake Owen Brings Summer Vibes for St. Patrick’s Day

Last night, I decided to drive six hours total to Welch, Minnesota. The casino there was hosting country star, Jake Owen. I was extremely excited to spend St. Patrick’s day listening to some great country music. The only downfall of the night was only having the ability to shoot the first two songs without a photo pit. A typical concert calls for three full songs with a photo pit. Regardless of the limitations, this show was by far one of the most fun shows to attend.

To start off the show, Jake came walking out without any shoes. While this may seem unusual to most, those that follow him would understand that it was definitely a barefoot, blue jean type of night. While the weather in Minnesota has become somewhat spring-like, it is safe to say that Jake brought the summer vibes at the right time.

Even his stage design had a tropical aesthetic. I really appreciate the immersive experience, because the music perfectly matched the overall performance. Since Jake is from Florida, It was obvious that he wanted to bring the relaxing and summer sound to the chilly weather of Minnesota. The crowd responded as if they were on vacation in the tropics. It was a perfect weekend to let loose and look forward to the days on the lake.
