A little over a month before their official grand opening celebration with Brandi Carlile, representatives from Live Nation invited members of the media inside the newly constructed Minneapolis Fillmore for a quick look around and a rundown of what to expect when the doors finally open on February 12th.

The 1,800-capacity venue, conveniently located next to Target Field Station in Minneapolis’ North Loop neighborhood, will look to host roughly 175 events a year. The diverse lineup will include concerts, comedy shows, podcast recordings, and a slew of other private events.

“We intend to give fans the best concert experiences they’ve ever had and earn their trust to spend their hard-earned money here,” said senior vice president of marketing David Fortin.

There are already over forty events on the calendar for the Fillmore (only eight of which are currently sold-out), including Motion City Soundtrack’s hometown reunion shows, Yung Gravy, Buddy Guy, Rüfüs Du Sol, Bob Weir & the Wolf Bros., The Revivalists, Thundercat, Dillon Francis, Evanescence, Incubus, and Louis Tomlinson.

The venue will begin its daily box office hours on February 1st so fans can purchase tickets while avoiding online fees. Tickets for Fillmore are already available at the Varsity Theater located in Minneapolis’ Dinkytown neighborhood.
