This 3-day music festival and conference brings a taste of SXSW to the Twin Cities with keynote conversations, music workshops, industry panels, networking events and performances by Minnesota’s top artists and bands.

Open to artists, industry professionals and fans of all ages, genders and backgrounds, this year’s Summit will be themed around amplifying women’s stories, providing opportunities for 1,000+ musicians and fans to gather at St. Catherine University and other Twin Cities venues to discuss timely issues affecting artists and our regional music communities.

Featuring a keynote address and performance by indie artist, author and podcaster Laura Veirs!

Schedule

THURSDAY, APRIL 12
Summit Brewing Company (910 Montreal Circle, St. Paul)

6-8 pm: Kickoff Party
Check in, get your swag bags and mingle with artists and industry professionals over beer and eats. With guest appearances by this year’s featured artists and a special presentation of the 2018 Minnesota Music Champion Award!


FRIDAY, APRIL 13
St. Catherine University-The O’Shaughnessy (2004 Randolph Ave., St. Paul)

9 am: Coffee/Sign up for Mentoring Sessions (Lobby-outside auditorium)

10-11 am: One-on-One Mentoring Sessions (Lobby-outside auditorium)
Sign up for 15-minute speed mentoring sessions with a variety of booking, media and film professionals.

12 pm: Keynote Address with Laura Veirs (Auditorium)
With indie artist, author and podcaster Laura Veirs.

*1 pm: Artist Meet & Greet (Green Room)
Summit Premium Badge holders will have the opportunity to meet Laura Veirs backstage following her keynote.

2-5 pm: Workshops/Industry Panels (Music Classrooms)
Learn from top artists and industry professionals as they discuss a variety of professional, creative and wellness topics.

6:30 pm: Pre-Show Party (Lobby-outside auditorium)

*7:30 pm: Concert with Laura Veirs & Special MN Guests (Auditorium)
Celebrating Laura Veirs‘ new album with special appearances by Minnesota’s top musical talent. Summit Premium Badge or concert ticket required for admission.


SATURDAY, APRIL 14

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
